1 What does your name mean?
Julie – youthful
2. Are you scared of heights?
Not really. I do have an incessant fear of being in closed spaces though!
3. What is your best physical feature?
I would have to say my eyes. Like many women, I’m not all that comfortable in my skin.
4. What is your favorite Music Genre?
I listen to country music the most but I do love me some 70’s rock!
5. Are you a good cook?
I think so. I enjoy cooking and my family generally eats what I cook without complaining.
6. What is your favorite Ice-cream flavor?
Rocky Road, when I eat ice cream. Sadly, I don’t eat it much these days. It gives me horrible indigestion.
8. What is your favorite festival?
The closest I come to attending festivals is going to an occasional concert. I recently checked an item off of my bucket list and saw my all time favorite, Willie Nelson! I figured I better see him live soon, the man is pushing 84 or 85. I have also seen Huey Lewis, Garth Brooks, Mickey Gilley to name a few.
7. Do you have any allergies?
The only known allergy I have is Kelfex. That allergy was discovered when I was in the hospital undergoing treatment for a brown recluse spider bite. I was in 5th grade I think. I broke out in a rash and I puffed up like a blow fish. As of late, if I had to guess, I would say that I have a gluten sensitivity. My daughter was recently diagnosed with Celiac Disease and rumor has it, kids get it from one of their parents. Until proven guilty, I’m blaming it on my husband.
9. Which of your parents do you look like?
Most say I look more like my dad. I most certainly have his eyes.
10. Who is your favorite Musician?
This is a hard one although I do claim to have a special place in my heart for Willie Nelson. I can’t get enough of older country music. They say music soothes the savage beast and I couldn’t agree more. Those old country songs stir emotions in me like nothing else can. A close second would have to be Merle Haggard. I think Willie would be ok with that.
11. Who is or was the most influential person in your life?
I really hadn’t thought about this question until recently. I would have to give that accolade to my granny. I spent a lot of time with her when I was a kid. I think she is the reason I love to craft. She taught me early on how to crochet. A hobby that has proven to be quite lucrative over the past few years. She also taught me how to use my imagination. Most importantly, she loved me unconditionally.
12. What is your favorite time of the year?
Although a summer girl at heart, I do enjoy November and December in Texas. My husband and I spend have made some awesome memories during those months as they lend themselves to some of the best flounder fishing of the year. We wade fish chest deep sometimes in frigid temps while other times the weather is super mild. It is Texas and the weather changes often. My favorite time of the year, the flounder run!
