Celery Juice – Day 4

Good morning!

Nothing major to report to you guys. Although, I’m still experiencing a few of the things that I mentioned from previous days.

  1. Lots of peeing! LOTS!
  2. Hands don’t feel as tight for the 2nd day.
  3. I haven’t lost any more weight but the initial two pounds has stayed off. Probably because I am peeing so much!

There is something new worth mentioning. First, I need to tell you that I don’t sleep. I attribute my lack of sleep to the part of my brain that has been tampered with during the three surgeries. The cerebellum is responsible for many things, sleep patterns being one. I usually go to bed no later than 10:00 unless Stuart and I are binge watching a Netflix series. (If you haven’t watched Dexter – do!) Anywho, in bed by 10:00 up by 1:30 a.m. This is a nightly occurrence. Sometimes I don’t make it until 1:30. This morning I was shocked when I woke up and the little red numbers on our  digital clock showed 4:30. SHOCKED  I tell you! Now, was this the juice, the yoga or a coincidence? Or maybe it was a combination of  the juice and yoga? I don’t know but I am anxious to see how the next few nights play out.

I started reading “The Medical Medium” by Anthony Williams. He specifically mentions Meniere’s Disease, vertigo and tinnitus. He attributes the symptoms and diagnosis to the Epstein Barr Virus.  I had mono in my early 20’s. The stages and the symptoms of the virus he describes gave me chills. If his theory about EBV is correct, it explains a lot.  More importantly it gives me hope. I am tempted to go to the end of the book and start his recommendations for healing but I have talked myself out of it.  I want to glean as much knowledge as I can before I tackle the EBV head on. img_8249

I don’t want to recommend the book until I complete it but I will say I’m not even halfway through  and  have had many aha moments.

  1. Hi, Julie, I’m interested to hear how your celery juice experiment goes and hope it helps you. Sounds like it could be generally good for everyone.
    Have you heard about weighted blankets to improve sleep? Whenever I had dental xrays, I hated for the technician to remove the weighted protection apron. Strange, but I really liked the feeling of the weight on my body! I came across the term “weighted blankets” about a year ago and googled it. Turns out they’re used to calm ADHD kids and generally improve sleep, kinda like swaddling a baby.
    Anyway, I bought one a couple of months ago and love it! I go to sleep faster, stay asleep (rarely wake up even to pee!) and sleep more deeply, therefore feel more rested in the morning. Google it!
